Katty Mayorga, Guitar

At the age of 9 she moved to Costa Rica where she studied under the lead guitarist of a tropical band called Kike de Heredia. A year later, she ventured on her own and became skilled in rock, heavy metal, folk, and flamenco. She completed her Performance in Classical Guitar undergraduate degree graduating Magna Cum Laude and her Master’s degree under Frederic Hand. She is coached by João Luiz Rezende of the Brasil Guitar Duo. She has attended and performed in various masterclasses by world-renowned guitarists such as Dale Kavanagh, Ana Vidovic, Sharon Isbin, Susana Prieto, and many others.

Katty has performed for Galas at the Performing Arts Center in Westchester County, in numerous events at Museums of Art, like the Neuberger and Museum openings in New York City.
